The day began with our beautiful bride Wakana getting ready with her family and bridesmaids in the quaint and historic Jordan Manor. With the entire manor to ourselves, it allowed me to utilize many of its unique rooms. During Wakana’s prep, she was surprised to get a Skype call from her grandmother overseas which brought tears of joy to her and everyone in the room….including me.
Our handsome groom and his gents got ready in a chic and modern home just near the winery which had great views and large windows for some dramatic portraits and candids.
I was overjoyed to photograph these two as they both are filled with so much love for one another. I realized this first hand during our engagement session back in April which was so much fun and allowed us to get to know one another better and become friends. Their joyful personalities really made it an amazing experience for me to capture and make memories for them.
The Vineland Estates Winery is surrounded by beautiful scenic views, stunning weeping willow trees and long vineyards that make you want to just pick your own grapes. Their 1st dance took place outdoors on the patio to a beautifully choreographed routine full of spins, dips and twirls. Their dancing skills mesmerized all of the guests and put a great big smile on my face throughout. Needless to say, it was amazing to photograph.
In addition to their beautiful dance, I was taken back by the elegant decor in the reception room. I typically don’t post too many detail photos on my blog but I couldn’t resist. The room was so tastefully dressed with an understatement that’s hard to balance.
I loved being part of their day as they allowed me to express my creativity willingly and with great enthusiasm. Wakana + Hoe are amazing people with hearts of gold that I’m honoured to call my friends.
