Toronto, meet Miami!
If you’re in love with the Miami vibe, the gorgeous art deco architecture and vibrancy of the culture, then you will get some serious wedding inspiration from Sarah + Jose’s Miami-in-Toronto wedding.
Sarah + Jose, who are both Miami residents also have roots in Toronto and for their wedding, they decided to bring the “Miami Heat” to Toronto. And they delivered.
Starting with the elegantly sexy gown Sarah wore to Jose’s burgundy attire with a crisp black bow tie, it was all influenced by their personal style and couldn’t have suited their venue and decor more perfectly.
Venue selection was pivotal to ensuring that it would reflect a Miami feel. Afterall, it was going to be the backdrop for the ceremony and the reception. This was key and Sarah + Jose were on point when they selected Malaparte in Toronto’s Entertainment District.
Located on the 6th floor at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Malaparte is a spectacular venue with floor to ceiling windows with stunning cityscape views.
The decor was clean with understated fresh palms as the centrepieces against crisp white linens. The wedding invitations, seating chart and wedding cake all had tropical palms incorporated without being at all overpowering. The cake was stunning and fresh as was the look and feel of the entire venue.
I absolutely loved photographing Sarah + Jose’s wedding. It is definitely one that has stood out for me and gave me a chance to experience Miami without getting on a plane. I hope you enjoy some of my most favourite photos from their incredible Miami-in-Toronto wedding!
