My day started with an early start for a snowy Saturday. It was a cold day, felt like -26oC. I arrived at Sunnyside Park just before 8am to meet Jennifer + David for their e-session. When I met them a couple of months back at our consultation, they mentioned that they really wanted their e-session to be in snow and at this location. It has sentimental value as they used to live right in the area and were frequent visitors to the park. They wanted fresh snow on the ground and to be the first ones making their mark on it. So that’s exactly what we did, and if there was ever a time the weather cooperated with me, this was one of those times. We’ve had a pretty mild winter and snow fall was scarce, so it was to my amazement that a fresh batch of snow fell the night before into the late late night leaving a fresh blanket of snow for us to have fun in. Jennifer + David were ready to go and I honestly was worried about them because it was freezing! They were amazing and this is one of my favorite e-ssesion shoots I’ve had. Driving by this park, it seems like it’s nothing special, but when you actually go and start the creative thinking process the photo opportunities were endless. And the Humber Bridge looked awesome with the white snow everywhere. What an architectural beast and did it ever create a gorgeous backdrop for this couple. I’m really looking forward to their upcoming April wedding. Here are some of my fav’s from this session.
Jennifer MorrenThese photos are so stunning! David and I are so pleased with how they turned out. Shoot day was so much fun and even though it was absolutely freezing, Martin was such a great sport and really gave us exactly what we were looking for in terms of a ‘Winter Wonderland’ engagement session. Thank you M+M Photography! We can’t wait for the wedding!
